Planning ready for winter.

We have just come off the back of a mini heatwave this month and have the next couple of months of summer to look forward to. But have you thought about the ways in which you can help to keep your home warm in the winter?

Now is the time that you can get some important works done ready for when the cold spell hits us.

  • Double Glazing – if your property is not currently double glazed or your windows are looking a bit old and tired you might want to enlist the services of a Double Glazing Cheltenham company to have them replaced. Double glazing can help to keep the warmth that your home creates in the winter, inside the house rather than losing it through single panes of glass or windows that have perished seals.
  • Heating system – you should look at getting your heating system serviced before the winter period so that any issues that may arise that need remedial work can be rectified before the colder weather really arrives and you will want the heating system working to the best of its ability.

  • Insulation – most modern homes come with adequate insulation which is what makes them so energy efficient but over time and for older properties you may want to consider having some new loft insulation put in place to prevent heat from being lost through your roof space.
