How to reward your staff

Business

Rewarding your staff can be a great way to thank them for all the hard work that they have done over the previous year. There are some rewards such as bonuses that are related to pay and would sit under a formal pay and performance policy. But there are other less formal ways that you can reward your staff for everything they do.

Birthday gifts – why not bring in cakes on your employees birthdays rather than them having to bring them in for themselves? Some businesses even give their employees their birthdays off as an extra day in addition to their annual leave entitlement. This can be a great way to show your employees that you care about their wellbeing.

Team Gifts – you can find some great team gift options from companies like Miller & Co where you could arrange for each team to receive a gift box that they can share between themselves. This could be a great option if you have a team working towards a particular project or they have just won your business a big piece of work.

Special lunches – holding a special lunch where your staff can come together is a great way to thank them for all the hard work they are doing. This could be done on a quarterly or half year basis and would allow you to catch up with all your employees on a much more informal basis than the usual staff meeting.
